"The Ski Machine is unsurpassed for learning and conditioning."
Powder Magazine

"The deck is well-suited to advanced skiers serious about refining their skills. (Novice) students are light years ahead of other beginners."
Stu Campbell, SKI Magazine

"As a ski racer, I use the ramp for fine-tuning my technique. With the mirrors I can monitor my improvement. You can’t cheat on the carpet; it’s a great skiing aid."
USSA Masters racer Charlene Rawls

The Revolving Carpet Advantage

The revolving carpet provides a fun and focused atmosphere where you have the undivided attention of our instructors. It’s great preparation for getting back on skis after a summer layoff, breaking through a learning barrier, rehabilitating an injury, or simply trying to stay sharp between ski trips.

Adventure Ski & Snowboard School has over 40 years experience using the American Teaching System (ATS), the same method used at mountain resorts across the nation.

From learning basic turns to refining advanced skills, you will be progressing at your own pace. We can teach 3-4 people at a time, and each student will have their own instructor.

With no lift lines or lunch breaks, each 25 lesson on the revolving carpet SnowSports Simulator equals a full day of conventional group instruction and physical exertion on the mountain. Once on the slopes, your SnowSports simulator instruction will translate into more confidence, increased efficiency and endurance, and less time wasted to help you fully enjoy your total snow vacation experience.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Q. Do I need equipment or do you provide?

A. We provide all equipment. Bring your boots if you have them. We recommend you wear long pants such as sweatpants or warm-ups, a long sleeve T-shirt, and full length socks (no ankle socks).  And bring a bottle of drinking water.

Q. Why do you recommend long pants as opposed to shorts?

A. The only issue we've seen in 40 years is a rug burn from someone who wore shorts and if they fell had their knee hit the carpet and got a rug burn.
Also we recommend the pants be loose enough around the ankles that they can go outside the ski or snowboard boots as you do not want to put anything else in your booth beside your foot and your sock. You don't want anything that will create a wrinkle or a lump that might cause discomfort inside your boot. You want everything to be as smooth as your skin inside your boots.

Q. Is it a workout?

A. Yes, don't do a leg workout before you come... save energy for your lesson.  A session here is like an all-day private lesson on snow.

Q. Why take lessons here vs on the mountain?

A. Training in a controlled environment, you will learn the skills and muscle memory without all the time, travel and costs associated with a trip to the mountain. After your training with us, and when you take lessons on the mountain, you'll understand your instructor's commands and you'll be in shape to DO your sport. You will gain much more ability from your lesson on the slopes.

Q. How much does it cost?

A. If you add up how much it cost to drive or fly to the mountains, then add lodging, your lift ticket, equipment rental or purchase, food, incidentals, etc, and then add the cost of a group or private lesson, it is much more economical to have lessons on our simulator before going on vacation.

You will be able to spend more time enjoying your vacation, and be in great shape, instead of wasting time on your first day or two trying to remember what you haven’t done since last winter....
